well... these witches really draw me into the play. Its weird how two of them are really old and one is young, i dont know why but its just strange. I think the witches are going to play a VERY big role in the story and bring some twists along with it. HAILEY

Witches..

I think these witches mostly fit how I thought they would look. They reminded me of the people they thought were witches from the Salem witch trials. I did however picture it to be a more mystical setting like maybe a cave with a crystal ball inside or something. The arm being buried on the beach was extremely creepy, but that also seemed realistic for witches.

Come little children I'll take thee away into a land of enchantment, Come little children the times come to play here in my garden of magic!!

Ok first off, this is not a clip to watch at night. Period. Secondly, I really for some reason had a picture of the witches like the ones off of Hocus Pocus. [Explanation for my Title]. I was just really creeped out and really hope we don't watch this movie in class or I'll be having nightmares for weeks. And I'm truly not exaggerating, unfortunately!.
Well that's my piece.
Nightt.

Which witch.

So, I definitely found myself wearing a permanent grimace on my face throughout the entire three minutes and four seconds of this clip. And honestly, at first glance of the witches I thought, "What the heck is that?!"
I suppose I pictured them all huddled around a giant black kettle wearing trenchcoats and pointy hats in the dead of night. Not all...gross looking. They honestly reminded me of one of those crazy bums you might encounter on a street corner in the worst part of New York City.
Not what I'd imagined.
Gracias.

bewitched

Hey
I finally figured this out.
I think the witches were very just....dirty in the video. I pictured them as scary not all...gross. So i think they were a little different than in my head.

Destiny

I do believe that you have a part in your final destiny. However God is the final decider. You are given a choice to either follow God and have a personal relationship with him or you can chose not to and reject all he has given. No matter which path you chose God decides where your final destination is. but i do not believe either is the main role. i mean God just doesnt at birth say "okay your an ugly baby so you will live a tramatic life and be sentenced to hell" or because " Your mom seduced the pastor before you were born your going to heaven." NO! I dont believe that and i also dont believe God says "okay since you have lived an okay life and made decent choices you can pick your destination." So i think its both God is the final decieder to see if you have lived a life that is pleasing to him and if you have had the relationship, but you also make the decision if you want to live that life.

Destiny

I believe you play a part in your destiny but God is the final say. I believe the choices you make will determine what your next decisions will be and what you are facing. In the end I believe God is always the final sayer.
To the second statement... just because you reach your goal doesn't mean the journey to get there is right. Your goals aren't just about reaching them, it's the journey to get there.

Statements

Statement 1: You are the maker of your own destiny.
Statement 2: If you reach your goal, the end always justifies the means.

I agree that both of these quotes are very true. I think you make your own destiny by the choices you make and the actions you choose to take. I also think that if you reach your goal, and even if you don't the end justifies the means. Either way you learn a lesson. So that's fantastic. Short and simple.

MacBeth Week 6

"You are the maker of your own destiny"

I believe that things that we do and choices that we make in our life will affect us for the rest of our lives. I also believe that certain things happen for a reason. I believe in accepting these things that we cannot change and knowing that God has a reason for everything.

"If you reach your goal, the end always justifies the means"

I believe this statment is true, you always get what you deserve in some shape or form.

Death of the Salesman

Death of the Salesman was very confusing at the beginning with all the flashbacks and Willy taking to himself. As the movie made more sense, I began to feel sorry for Willy. He had all these hopes for his family and some of them did not work out. He could not accept it. I dont like the way his wife was always trying to make things better by telling a lie. I think that this was making Willy's condition worse. I think that Biff was trying to find his place in life. He sincerely did not like the proffesion that his dad had chosen and Willy simply could not accept that. I think Happy resembled his mother because he also constantly tried to make everything better by telling a lie. I think this family was in desperate need of family counseling and could have prolonged Willy's life.
