To me this poem is portraying that the world we live in is just a dream within a dream as the title states. Edgar Allen Poe was a great realistic poet who truly showed that the world we are living in is just a dream among us. At first i didn't really understand the poem but after reading not only one or twice but three time, i started to grasp Poe's concept. I really liked this poem when it comes to still talking about the American dream. :]
I really like this poem too Erin. It's one of my favories and I think you're observations of its meaning are very true.
