For starters I would like to say that our discussion about the "American Dream" was an awesome idea, everyone had their own opinion. I think that everyone has their own "American Dream", it was they make it and I do not think we should judge others. Some people talked about making our dreams realistic, I think that is a big part of creating the ideal "American Dream" for ourselves.
My view of the "American Dream" is much different from at least anyone else in our class. You all know, or may not know, my parents came from Mexico in order to pursue thier dream of giving us, their children, an education. They wanted a better life for their family...period. That was their "American Dream".
I agree with most of you, whatever your "American Dream" may be, let it make you happy! As long as you are happy, you will know you are were you need to be in life. =)

I really like how you shared your parents' perspective of the American Dream, Jennifer. What a GREAT example!
ReplyDeleteJennifer you made very good points, i like how you tied your parents idea of the american dream into the discussion!
