I wish I could see 'Grandma' Agian

“I wish I could see ‘Grandma’ again”.
When my parents moved to the little old blue house on Sunshine Drive all of the neighbors were friendly including our next-door neighbor an elderly woman named Adelia Ferris, or Grandma, as she preferred us to call her. Grandma would always invite my siblings and I over for fresh baked cookies and cherry Kool-Aid. We would stay over for hours and play blocks. Sometimes she had puzzles set out for us to build and if mom called us home early she would leave it out for us to finish next time we came over.
Grandma loved to paint. She painted pictures and the faces of the beautiful set of porcelain dolls in her living room. She did it for fun. They were beautifully arranged in a glass cabinet. My favorite one was the dark haired one with bouncy curls. Grandma always said she resembled me. I often admired them through the glass.
Grandma was always there for us when we needed her. When I was about eight, my mother had a stroke. My brother and me were at home alone when this happened, we ran over to Grandma’s house. After the ambulance took my mother to the hospital, my father asked Grandma if we could stay at her house until they came back. Grandma was more than happy to keep us; she did everything to make us feel better.
Overtime we noticed Grandma was becoming weak. Often times she would be too ill for us to come over. We had noticed she quit coming outside to tend to her garden. We often visited her during these times, but Grandma was just too tired. Then one day, Grandma’s sister came over to pack her things. She informed us that she was going to be transferred to the Lawrence County Manor. We went to see her as often as we could, but we noticed that something was happening to Grandma. Sometimes we come in and ask us our names, or ask were she was. We did not understand this behavior. A nurse explained to us that Grandma had developed Alzheimer’s. It was hard for us to see her like that. Over time she became even weaker, she was always asleep. One day we came home from school, and my parents were home with a worried look on their faces. They informed us of Grandma’s death. It was hard on the whole family; we all loved her very much. Her funeral was short and peaceful, I remember.
I will never forget my next-door neighbor who was very friendly and caring towards us. She was a wonderful welcome for my family and I into a new community. If she were still alive I would tell her everything about my life since I last saw her. I would love to see the relationship between her and my daughter. I know that Grandma would love her very much. She was the only Grandma I had growing up, and even though Andy already has two I’m sure she wouldn’t mind a third to spoil her rotten. I know the connection would be just as wonderful as it was with us.

Grandma was a very important person in my life growing up. Any feedback to make this better?

What is Love ?
Love is little freckles and
tiny dirt speckles
Love is the fastest boy and
the newest toy
Love is the ancient apple tree and
big parties with tea
Love is swinging after lunch and
giving that mean girl a punch
Love is playing after school and
pushing the boys in the pool
Love is racing to the monkey bars and
taking off to mars
Love is sitting in the sandbox
and scratching chicken pox
Love is ohh so clear
for a fourth grader without a fear

Bubbly and Vivacious

Andrea Nicole
I am bubbly and vivacious
I wonder how people cannot see the beauty in this world
I hear the laughter as I remember all the good times I’ve had throughout my life
I see my future plans, goals, and dreams being fulfilled
I want to help further the education of children
I am bubbly and vivacious

I pretend I am a professional dancer as I dance until my feet can’t dance anymore
I feel the warmth of the sun prancing across my face
I touch the stars as I accomplish my goals
I worry that I will fail, that I won’t reach those BIG dreams
I cry when I think of loved ones I’ve lost
I am bubbly and vivacious

I understand the world is not fair and never will be
I say all you need is love
I dream that one day I will make a difference in this world, someway, somehow
I try my best at everything I do, no matter how big or small
I hope to touch the lives of others each and every day
I am bubbly and vivacious
Andrea Nicole

I think I am going to add this poem that I just wrote on a page with two other bio poems I wrote(one from elementary school and one from middle school)...good or bad idea?

The good life.

I'm in my room baking
with my easy-bake oven.
I stacked four books up
on top of a chair
and climbed up to get it.
I just wanted a
chocolate sprinkle cake.
Mom smelled my baking
and came to check on me.
She wasn't happy.
Now my nose is
pressed to the corner

Now i'm turning the dial
24...2...18.
Open.
I drop the key to my diary
next to the locket
and my favorite
cookie flavored chapstick.
When the door to
my red plastic vault closes
I can say,
"Oh, you want to borrow some
chapstick?
If you can get to it,
you can use it."
They'll never get to it.
Chapstick and diary?
Safe.

I look back at myself wearing
my favorite teddy bear vest,
Baking a chocolate sprinkle cake
and locking up
my most prized posessions.
Always thinking of
what's best for me.
Cake, keys and style...
The only things you need
to live
the good life.

Any "ess's" you want to say are appreciated!

Simple Things

A child's Life
made up of simple nothings
A child's Life
of little blue rocking chairs
and pretend amen hallelujahs from the stuffed bears
A child's Life
made to simply learn how to have fun
with grandma's old bible and the blue pastors chair

A child's Life
Made up with a big imagination
with elk roaming free in my front yard
and pulling them over with my blue cop bike
for speeding through the field

A child's Life
Made up by the love of their family
From a little blue picture by grandma lily
to show how special that day really was

A child's Life
is certainly made up by just the simple things
But by far a child's life is most special of them all!

High School Years Gone By

Q-How did you feel the first day of your freshman year?
o Well I started high school with kind of an advantage over others I guess. I had my older sister Brandie who was a junior to help me. We were always good friends. Plus it didn’t hurt that I was a varsity cheerleader and it was a small town where everyone knew each other.
Q-What was your most embarrassing moment from your freshman year?
o My most embarrassing moment from freshman year? That is a hard one. It would probably be sitting at a choir concert and when I started to step down off the risers for my solo I started to fall and the person that tried to help me up ended up falling off the risers with me.
Q-When you started your sophomore year did you treat freshman badly?
o Oh, wow. Well, I would like to say that I was nice to the freshman and that we treated them fairly, but to be honest we probably didn’t treat the freshman as good as we could have. I think most of us are probably guilt of that at some time or another. I wish I could say that if I had it to do over I would change the way we treated them, but in reality I don’t think we would. Being picked on as the underdog is part of the high school experience I think.
Q-What was your most embarrassing moment from your sophomore year?
o My most embarrassing moment from sophomore year that one is easy. It is without a doubt my NHS induction ceremony. I fell down the stairs to the stage, accidentally knocked over my candle and lit the tablecloth on fire, and when I went to sit down I completely missed my chair and fell on the floor. All of this happened in front of the entire student body. That one wins hands down no questions asked I just wanted to hide in my house for the rest of the year.
Q-Your junior year begins and you are not on top but definitely have son authority. What do you do with it?
o Well, when my junior year started I no longer had my older sister there to rely on, but I did have my younger sister starting high school as a freshman. I will always remember how much it helped me to have my older sister there to help me and I wanted to do the same for my younger sister. So my junior year I did everything I could to make her transition into high school as easy as possible for her.
Q-What was your most embarrassing moment from junior year?
o This one is easy to answer. We were at state cheerleading competition in Columbia and we had just gotten done performing when a really cute guy walked by. I was trying to point him out to my friend and accidently poked him on the arm while I was pointing. He turned around and I tried to say hello but I was so out of breath that no words came out. He gave me a very weird look and started laughing. I got a drink and we began talking we exchanged numbers and are still friends.
Q-So you are a senior now. How do you feel and what will you remember most?
o Honestly I think I feel just like any other senior. I feel scared, excited, and anxious. There are so many emotions it’s hard to say exactly how I feel and I think what we feel changes from day to day. But what I will remember most is all the people that I have met and that have helped me along the way. All the teachers who put in late hours, friends who were always there, and parents that put up will me all these years.
-What has been your most embarrassing moment so far you senior year?
o Nothing really just stands out as embarrassing to me. If I had to pick something it would have to be when I was attending Marshfield schools. They had a cop in the building and I didn’t know he was right behind me. One of my friends asked me what I thought of him. I said “he is a self absorbed jerk who needs to grow up.” He tapped me on the shoulder and told me next time I should make sure the person I am talking about isn’t standing right behind me.

MASH.

I have a MASH that goes along with this with Martin's name circled as my future husband. And this is what I wrote to go with it.......

It was always my dream to be the girlfriend to Martin, and with the emphamis MASH sealing my fate for just that, my life couldn't get any better.
It was fourth grade year and I'd had my eyes set on the dark haired, brown eyed boy across the room. He went by the name of Martin, and a simple simle from him is all it took for him to steal my heart. Unfortunatly, my heart was the last thing he wanted and I spent the rest of my fourth grade year trying to get him to notice me and want to be my boyfriend after all.
Easier said then done. Martin, as a boy, had bigger and better things to do than to lust over some dumb ole girl. Him and the other boys would always play basketball at recess with the girls standing on the sideline cheering them on. That wasn't enough though, so I moved on to plan two. Martin only lived a block away from me, so I always passed his house on my way to and from school. Luckly for me we both walked to school and back. Everyday I'd walk with him home. He was always walking with his friend, Andrew, and I was always walking with my sisters, so not much was said between us, but just walking next to him was good enough for me. Too bad he couldn't say the same. My days of trying to whoo him were quickly over as my fourth grade year came to an end. After that we never saw each other again. Still to this day though I wonder how things would be differentsly if that game of MASH had really came true. Maybe I'll see him one day, getting the chance to confess to him that he was my first true crush, although that was the one thing he tried so hard in the past to deny.

I really need help with this one. Please give any feedback you have. This piece of writting was thrown together really quickly and I'm really not pleased with it at all, so any kinda of addressing towards making it better would be greatly appriciated. thank you.

Memories of Koleen from Nana & Papa

this is a letter my nana sent me when i asked her to send me something for my mem. book

On a Sun. morning at 7:30am on 1-13-91 the phone rang & it was your mom & she said "hi grandma."
We were thrilled & got our first look at you at the hospital, &oh what a gift from God. Following that was a flurry of coming home, your first bath, showers etc. Papa & I were back for your baptism 2 weeks later.
Your 1st Easter Bunny came to our house & you really didn't understand what was going on, but mom & dad & papa had a ball watching you with an easter egg. Suddenly it was "boo" time & we had a "tiger" crawling down the hall.
Birthdays came and went & suddenly you were 8 and you went camping with nana and papa. Off we went to hanabil MO & learned about Mark Twain.
You loved coming to our house because you could swim in the lake and boat ride. However your first boat ride as a baby was memorable you cried the whole time! (so did your mom) In 2000 we went camping again to Colorado and mom went along too!
Years skipped by making memories, basketball games, concerts, plays, and summers. In April '05 you were confirmed and we were hononred to be there. And now you are about the girl whose oing to be a highschool graduate and go off to college. Papa and I are very proud of you and love you and look forward to making more memories with you as you continue on your path of life.
love and good luck

Recipe for the First Day of High School

1 cup of sass 5 cups of friends

2 cups of New Clothes 2 cups of School Supplies

1/2 cup of fear 1 Digital Camera

1/2 cup of kindness 1 Cell Phone

1 Locker Combination 1 Good Outlook on Life

The first day of high school is always a blur. Here is a helpful recipe to get you through the dreadful first day.
Add in a backpack, mix lightly and walk on it for 7 hours. Follow as instructed...
First you add the 1 cup of sass, to make it sweet and spicy for the wild side of the first day. Then you add 2 cups of new clothes. Who doesn't want to look good for their very first day of high school? Then you add the 1/2 cup of fear, so you know your boundaries when it comes to those scary seniors! Then add the 1/2 cup of kindness so you don't get wailed on in the first 5 minutes of being in the school. Add 1 locker combination so you're not late to class, and don't have to visit Coach Kleine on your very first day! Next, 5 cups of friends who will always have your back, and never leave your side in this scary place. Then add 2 cups of school supplies so you can get your work finished and stay in good graces with the teachers. Add 1 digital camera to capture the unforgettable memories of your first day, and all of the days to come. Add 1 cell phone to text all your friends to see what they are wearing on the first day, so you know how to dress. Wouldn't want to get caught in a no-no outfit! Finally add a good outlook on life. Add this to make your high school experience enjoyable and carefree. If you enjoy it while you are here, it will go much faster and make for a unforgettable experience!
Bless and Address...Help!
Loves,
E

Dear Journal

Dear Jourmal,
Hi my name is Andrea. I am ten years old. My birthday is Feburary 27, 1991. There are five people in my family. My mom, Robin, dad, Bruce, brother, Aaron, and sister, Laura. I have two cats named Charolette and Oscar. I have a lot of friends too. A few of them are: Katie, Hailey, Joslyn, Lexi, Erin, Emily, Meghan, and Kimmy. I really like school this year. I have a lot of my friends in my class, and my teacher, Mrs. Williams, rocks! I'm really sad though. My dad has been living in Oklahoma working for some time now and I miss him. His work is moving to Texas, and my mom said in May we have to move to Texas too. I'm glad I will get to be with my dad, but I'm going to miss all my friends! Well I have to go for now.
Love, Andrea

Memory Book Madness

This a poem about my favorite childhood toy.... (Btw Stephie, I would like her back ASAP).. Mmk.. I haven't thought of a title yet so any sort of input would be well appreciated. As well as input on the poem itself because I know my sentence structure and rhyming is a little off! K. Thanks.

I have a best friend
her name is Meme Bear.
Full of love and loose stuffing,
she holds my secrets tight
and is my second pair of eyes.

She sees me crying when I'm sad
and laughing when I'm happy.
I toss her in the air,
drag her on the ground,
but I still know she is around.

She is the apple of my eye
and never says 'Goodbye'.
She always stays by my side,
but never seems to abide.

Remembering now it's very clear,
that she took away my every fear.
I will never find the love she gave,
but I will always have the memories made.

Week 11 - Memory Book Part II

Task: I really enjoyed seeing your chapters posted along with the helpful comments. This week I would like you to post another chapter (or at least a section of a chapter) from your memory book. Let us know if you want just kind comments (bless) or if there are any areas you would need direction (address.) Please continue to spend some time responding to one another's writing. Complete this by Thursday, May 7.

Macbeth..really late.

I do believe you are in most ways the maker of your own destiny, because its all pretty much in your own hands on what you do with your life. No one can make you do anything.

I dont really get the second statement but if its what i think it is then, yes! If you reach your goal then your goal will (i dont know the word) ...but it will be worth going what you went through to get there!

Way Late...

Death of a Salesman turned out way different than i thought and all of the characters are all different. I personally think they were all crazy and just wanted money. I dont have much to say. sorry.

Witches.

The witches i pictured would be more of the old time witches that dresses in all black and lived back in the woods somewhere. They would have on big black hats and ride on brooms everywhere. In my eyes, these dont even look like witches.

Cast.

If i was a casting director i would get Jessica Abla to play Lady Macbeth, because shes a good actor and shes a over all strong woman.

MATHEW MCCONAUGHEY!!!!
OMG.would so be my Macbeth, i've had the BIGGEST crush on him EVER!!! Hes so SEXY..and not to mention a heck of an actor.

If i could get him as Macbeth, i would definately be Lady Macbeth so he could kiss me!!!
i think the witches do a good job of pertraying there part in macbeth. they are scary and freaky looking and i wouldnt go around one of them if you tried to pay me. im very excited to see how this story is going to end. i hope you choose to stay mrs. witt. but if you dont you have my number and can text me from time to time

i am a person who relies on myself for things. i have a job and paid for the things i have and im sure one day i will thank my mom for not just giving me whatever it is i wanted. she tought me if i want something that im going to have to go out and get it. i feel like that has given me a head start in life. some of my friends not gunna mention any names (Jeremy Mooch Gibson) but they havent had a job and i think that is only going to hurt them when they get out on their own.

i thought willy lowman was a crazy man who was bullied too much in highschool and everyone bragged at what they had and he never had anything to brag about and it finally caught up to him. everyone wants to be sucessful in todays world but sucess isnt going to jsut come to you... you have to go to it. I think biff was just trying to do whatever his father could never do and thats not what we people of america should be doing. we need to be helping one another out and doing what makes us happpy

Epilogue

If i could change my life would I?
Well i think that once you are born god has set a plan out for you. Now weather you follow that path is up to you, and as for me I have followed that path sort of but with a few big rocks, and fallen trees in the way of that certain path that I am following. I have encountered many problems in my life that I think has made me the woman that I am today, from my mom signing over all rights and getting a new mom to my dad's two divorces and a big family. I don't see any reason to change my life. I have it all. I have to great moms, and one awesome dad. My life could not get any better. I love everything about my life. From all my siblings to my fiance Rex. I could not change anything about it. If i did change anything about it I don't think I would be the Hanah Lester that everyone knows. So in conclusion i would not change my life. :]
SO guys i need help in making it longer. Please give me any feedback please!!
love all Hanah :]

Dear Mr. Cradic

Please give feedback.
This is a letter to my fourth grade teacher Mr. Cradic.

Dear Mr. Cradic,

Remember that time when you had me in class and you got really mad a me because I was acting out the poems youi were reading out loud to the class? I know we all laughed about it afterwards, but I just wanted to appologize. I know I wasn't the best student you've had, I just couldn't help being the class clown. I loved more than anything to make people laugh. Oh, remember that time when Annie fainted in class? I was so scared. I remember you just scooping her up in your arms and running her down to the nurses office, and when you got back you clmed everyone down. I want to thank you for that. Not many people have been able to make me feel better about something so scary. After that I thought of you as some kinda hero or something, saving Annie's life like that. Remember when you would always tell me I could do better on my art projects, that way I would do my best on them? You influenced me so much. I always felt confident in my school work while in your class. I remember you giving me your address before I moved to Germany. You told me i could only have it if i sent you some art work. Im sorry I neve did. I kinda gave up on art, Im sorry about that too. I know you had some high hopes for my artistic abilities.
I was just writing to thank you for all you did for me my fourth grade year. You have been the most influencial, insperational teacher I have had thus far. When peolpe ask who my favorite teacher is yoo always come to mind, and whether they know you or not, you're the teacher I always tell them. Thank you for being the best teacher a fourth grader could ever have! I'll never forget you.

Yours Truely,
Torey Smith

What have we gotten ourselves into?!

King Macbeth was reportedly acting insane at the royal dinner held at his house last night. Witnessess claim Macbeth was hilucinating as well as beig uncoroperative and hostile toward those trying to help.

Lady Macbeth tells reporters that, "he is suffering from an unknown illness that he was born with, and the actions portryed by him last night were nothing to be concerned about, because he has always acted that way." Lady Macbeth, however, would like to appologize to those who took offense to his actions and assures everyone that everything will be okay. She has everything under control and Macbeth is doing great.

My Cast.

I believe Halle Barry would play a great Lady Macbeth because she has proven herself in other movies to be a tough, strong actress, and she always looks good doing it.

Mattew McConaughey would make an A M A Z I N G Macbeth for the simple fact that he has the nicest butt ever! The acting doesnt even matter to me when it comes to him because i get too distracted checking out his body to even notice anything else. haha.

Through the Eyes of a 7 year old

Dear Diary,

Today, I’m super excited. Because today is the day we are going to finally go to Disney world. Yesterday I was really tired because we had to get up early for the long drive. But it was all worth it to finally be close enough to taste the fun and exciting sights awaiting me. With everything that’s there it’s really impossible for me to decide where to start. Mom says today we’re going to be visiting Magic Kingdom. It’s the biggest of the four parks and right at the heart of it all.
I’ve never been here before but I have seen the commercials. They say that it’s where dreams come true. I sure hope so. I can’t wait to ride on this one ride in particular called Space Mountain. I heard that when you go on it they strap you into this huge rocket ship, do a countdown, and then “Blast Off,” they send you all the way to the moon. I hope it’s true because I’ve always wanted to go to the moon and Mom says when you’re in space you can float. I wonder what it’s like to be able to float, I wonder if it’s anything like whenever you let go of the swing when you’re way up in the air. More than anything though, I would really like to fly. It would be so cool. I might even become friends with Superman if I could fly. Superman is the coolest super hero ever because he can bounce bullets off his chest, and run really, really fast, and fly. I’m hungry now and we’re leaving so bye.

A Souper Day

Dear you,
Today is my first day of first grade im souper excited. i cant wate until i get to see all of my old friends. Kindegarden was the funnest and i cant wate to see how my fist grade will be. I love school. I like to finger pante and right notes to my friends. I specially like recess. It's the best part of the day. And lunch. And snack time. We get cokies and milk for snacks. I wish we still had nap time thogh. I like layin down in the midle of the day. My teacher this year is Miss. tebow. I herd she is souper mean. I hope not thogh. I herd once she hit somone with a ruler and mad them blead. Thats realy scary. I hope i dont get in lots of trouble. Well i hope my first day gos good.

My Confessional Poem

Be as critical as you wish! I'll soon be adding another stanza as well.
These Are My Confessions
(as said by Usher)

I burned the bully
wanted no trouble
lied to my teacher
lied to my mother
I wanted the lacrosse ball
pretended it was lost
after everyone was gone
I grabbed it for myself

Caught a big frog
tried using him as bait
fish wouldn't eat him
so I did
I went trick-or-treating
The man was giving lots of candy
I changed my mask
and returned continuously.

If Only, If Only( from my mother's eyes)

This is a poem written in memory of my grandma from my mother's perspective. I'll take any feedback positive or negative, any ideas on how to better word something, add something, whatever. Its not finished more verses are going to be added. Thanks:)

If Only, If Only

I only we had one minute left
what would I say to you?
I might've told you how pretty
you were or how your presence
lit up the room.

If only you could come
comfort me and dry away my tears,
I remember you've been there
through the storms of life,
my pillar to conquer my fears.

If only the strength you had
had lasted till your grandchildren grew...
you would've been so proud of them if only you knew

More to come...

Girl busts butt while SUV is stolen

Mt. Vernon--Late Friday night a white Toyota Forerunner was taken while parked on Dallas Street. During the suspect's get-a-way the owner of the SUV began to run through the house and fell; she busted her butt.

Reports are that victim, Kirsten Roach, left the vehicle occupied by three MVHS students. Roach had left the keys in the ignition as she ran inside the home of Corey Plummer to compile plans for the evening.

When Roach realized the vehicle was moving she began to run quickly after it. However, her feeble attempt to stop her vehicle ended when she busted the screen door and fell flat on her butt.

"Laurie asked if I had turned my car off; I said yes, and she said well it's moving now! So, I attempted to run after my car," stated Roach.

When she arrived back at her car the 3 occupants looked as if nothing had happened. As Roach got into the car two of the students--Hayley Brown and Tarah Cornelison--quickly sold out the other student, Terianne Pitts.

"I thought it would be funny to let her (Roach) see her car 'role' away," claimed Pitts.

No charges were pressed against Pitts. Roach and Pitts became best friends during the summer and have remained best friends since then.

In Memory Of

So in my head I wanted to do something totally different and out there to show my faith and the day I got saved, so this is what I came up with. I decided to write an obituary for the death of my unsaved self to the new life I have in Christ. I would love comments on if it portray what I would like it to or your opinion. Please be honest, no matter what.
-In Memory of-
Sara Beth Webb

Mt. Vernon- Sara Beth Webb of Mt. Vernon, 8, received her name in the Book of Life, when her old flesh died and a new life was given. The old flesh died at the altar, on her knees in prayer, when Sara surrendered herself to the power of Christ’s loving grace.
Sara Beth Webb was born February 22, 1991, in Branson, Missouri, the daughter of James and Katherine Webb, loving stepmother, Robyn, and caring brothers, Luke, Adam, and Mark.
She was a child who was independent, selfish, and spoiled. She enjoyed being the only girl and getting all new toys and clothes for herself. She wanted her way and sometimes had trouble with obedience. Being a speaker of what was on her mind, She spoke words even if they hurt others.
Her old flesh was preceded in death with those of her parents, James, Katherine, and Robyn Webb, and her brothers, Luke, Adam, and Mark. Nothing could separate the family from the love of Christ and the dream to be together today in Heaven’s Book of Life.
Although her old life was happy, it will never amount to the love and joy she has now in Christ. She is not perfect, but every day is a new day full of mercy and grace given by the Heavenly Father that loves more than anyone. Her Heavenly Father is an influence none can compare and is renewing her life daily. No one will forget the selfless act of God, by sending his son to die on the cross so Sara can live today with forgiveness and a new outlook on life. A service in Sara’s salvation will be held daily in the life she lives, and under the ministry at Freedom Christian Center, with Pastor Tony and Christi Swillum officiating.

This Moment

This is a poem I wrote for Andy, my daughter, about the day I had her. Please give me any kind of feed back. I particularly need help with a title and any other emotions or things I could describe.

A Hospital Bed

At the crack of dawn

A child is brought

To Life

Screaming

Tears of Joy

Big shiny pink balloons

And flowers

Cradling you in my arms

For the first time

Little grayish/black eyes

Stare back at me

Our eyes meet

This moment is unforgettable

A wonderful blessing

The day Andy was born was the best day of my life to this day. She brought so much joy and wonderful things to my life, she inspires me so much.

That Class of 2009

- This is a poem for my final chapter (disregarding epilogue). Say whatever crosses your mind, I am open to anything :)

Leaving high school I think,
All that time and work worthwhile.
Homework cramming and prom dress shopping,
I can't help but smile.

Senior pictures finally done,
Of 17 years now grown.
Getting ready to graduate,
With invitations sent back home.

Ordering everything I need,
My billiant green cap and gown.
Getting in those nights,
Of cruising on the town.

These final games I cheer,
Enjoying assemblies and dances.
Showing off the Mt'neer spirit,
Taking time for those chances.

Now I take my final step,
Realizing it's my time.
But, I will always remember,
The Graduating Class of 2009!

" I Got You Day"

Okay so this is a letter to my little sister Saydie Mae who was our first foster child and we adopted her at 8months. I wrote this about the day she came to us on mothers day. I really have not had time to look over it so any help or ideas of ways to word parts would be great! or if something needs to be taken out or put in.

Dear Saydie Mae,

It was friday May 11th 2000, when mom got the phone call that someone very special had just entered the world. Two days later was mothers day but most importantly "i got you" day. I remember that morning before church we made sure everything was ready in the nusery, diappers were put away your clothes were all washed folded and hung, your crib made and bassenett all ready for your first night home! Church could not have gotten over any faster for your arrival to our family was just a few hours away. We were all sitting at Aunt Dana and Uncle Ronnies waiting to eat. I was sitting next to grandma holding one of the twins who were born just a few weeks before, when the garage door opened and mom walked in with a car seat in hand. I still remember the first time i saw you, a little 7lbs 12 oz baby girl with the name mercades lynn but mom had already decieded we would call you Saydie! You had tons of dark black hair and the redest skin ever. You really did look like an indian baby. You sat in your carseat and slept with your plug in your mouth and a lady bug blanket next to you. Of course mom had changed you into a cute little spring outfit, and you smelled like baby magic baby lotion. I remember the first time i touched your little 3 day old fingers, and watching mom lift you from your carseat as your tiny body curled up and your head fell back into her fingers. As you started to stretch your plug fell and immediately your lips puckerd, we knew right off you were going to be high maintence! As i stood in awe looking at you, i couldnt help but to already wonder what sport i was going to teach you first! Right away we felt complete with you, having a feeling you would always be a member of our family little did we know in just a few months you were going to be ours on paper too! Your name was finaly changed on December 6th 2000 by Judge Sifferman to Saydie Mae Barnes. Your middle name came from Great grandma Noe Mae, little did we know she would become very special to you! You have changed our world forever, we could never tell you how much of a pleasure it is to have you in our life! I love you Saydie! Love Sister!

Skittles & Lip gloss

This is a found poem. Written from a yellow pad of paper on which Abby, Hayley and I would write notes to each other in Coach Maberry's class in eigth grade... :]
The spelling is copied straight from the notes, so don't let that bother you. lol
Bless, Press, Address, Confess, Guess, Make A Mess...
Whatever feedback you feel like giving! Thanks

Just yesterday we were laughing abt
Skittles & lip gloss.
These days we cry because
graduation is almost here.
The friends we love.
We remember wat we've been though
And the moments

Until the end of

How to...Never Stay Single in Elementary School

Alrighty, this is a knock-off of "How to lose a guy in 10 days." I would definitely like some help expanding this, because believe it or not it's hard to completely remember how this situation played out in 3rd grade. So give me what you got!

1. NEVER make eye contact
2. Wait until your crush chases you on the playground to show you're interested
3. NEVER talk directly to your crush (ALWAYS send a messenger)
4. Always flirt with other boys, especially when he's watching
5. Keep your options open, new crushes pop-up every week
6. ALWAYS find a boyfriend by Valentine's Day
7. Share your lunchable and they'll be yours for atleast another week

..... That's all I've got, but feel free to give me some more ideas! :)

Confessions of a High School Senior, First hand accounts of Koleen Kay

hello all. this is a poem i think i'm gonig to put in my memory book
let me know all the feed back you have please
possitive, negative, all that jazz

I got a warning in flashing red white and blue
Didn't tell my mom how late I was for curfew
I kept my secret for three long day
But the pain in my stomach made me give it away

Late one night I went out to play
Tried to steal a sign but ran away
The cops drove by and we fled in fear
I'll never forget that senior year

In a trip to walmart four fish were bought
The car ride home they were quite distraught
Gunther Phillip Walter and Stephen
They still swim in their bowl mornin to evenin

Me and kyle went to a movie
It was in 3D and pretty groovy
When it came time to recycle my glasses
I slipped them in my purse smooth as molasses.

My senior memory book chapter...

If you guys can help think of a good title for this I would greatly appreciate it. You can give me your honest opinion about it. It will not bother me. It is a poem about love.

Once I thought the feeling was gone,
An empty void where my heart once was.
The passion gone,
The desire burned from my soul.
Then in an instant it all changed.
Your tender words breathed fire into my once cold shell,
Sparking a flame only your love can quench.
With you my life has meaning,
A purpose to exist.
You came to me like an angel from above.
Shining into my darkness,
Warming my once cold heart, breathing life into my soul.
Feelings I thought I had lost came rushing back.
They hit me like waves on a shore.
You may not always be near but I can always feel your warmth.
A sensation so sweet it makes sugar seem bitter.
I place my heart in your hands,
The safest place it could ever be.
You are my first real dream,
My last true love, my everything.
I promise to love you,
Now and forever.
No matter the darkest days,
Or roughest seas.
To only let you shed tears of joy,
To only know happiness in my arms.
Time spent with you it time spent in heaven,
With my own personal angel.

Koquirer Latest Report

LADY MACBETH PREGNANT WITH KING DUNCAN'S BABY!?!?!?!?!?!

Earlier this week our beloved King Duncan was violently murdered along with eighteen of his most beloved guards while dining at the Macbeth residence. It is believed by the National Koquirer that this violent act of crime was carried out by none other than Macbeth himself. We not only believe this to be true but also have found information telling us that the reason for Macbeth to commit this terrible act was because his so called "loving wife" Lady Macbeth is carrying the child of our once beloved King. May he rest in peace.

Keep up with the Koquirer to hear more facts about this tragic case of cheating, lying and death.

Week 8 - Little Late

- I am definately behind on my blogs, but I figured why not :)

For Lady Macbeth I would definately go with Natalie Portman. I watched "The Other Boleyn Girl" last night. I feel she did a fantastic job portraying Anne Boleyn, who was able to ruin an entire country because of how much the King wanted to please her. Therefore, she would make a fantastic Lady Macbeth because she has the manipulative and scheming characteristics needed for the part.

For Macbeth, I would go with Eric Bana. He played in "Troy" as well as "The Other Boleyn Girl" and I feel he would fit the part well. In the film with Portman, he played a King taking care of anyone in his way to make her happy. Which I definately think would make him perfect as the ambitious Thane of Cawdor.

Feast Fit for a King. . .and Death

King Duncan Murdered in Cold Blood!

The beloved King Duncan has been murdered viciously during a stay at the castle of Macbeth. Sources say the King had been there enjoying the company of Lady Macbeth, and retired to sleep. While sleeping, his own sons stabbed the poor royal in a drunken stupor.

Surviving the King are his sons Malcolm and Donalbain. Many say this was their ploy to get the throne, and others say it was an act of rage. Some sources say that three witches were involved. A servant claims to have seen the women departing from the castle at the time of the murder.

However, could this have also been the work of Macbeth? Thane of Cawdor, then King. Suspicion plays well in matters of royalty. Authorities have yet to release information on suspects, but let's be real. All fingers point to the sons who were covered in their father's blood. Who knows, maybe this is the work of an outsider. Corruption in the Kingdom, what a surprise.

Macduff's Suspicions

Duncan's Sons Flee the Country
Macduff has his eye cast upon Macbeth

Saturday morning, 6:38 a.m. the body of King Duncan was found dead, sprawled across Macbeth's guest bed. Macbeth loses control and goes on a small killing rampage, claiming the guards he killed were Duncan's murderers. Malcolm and Donnelbain flee the country raising suspicions in their direction, for everyone but Macduff. Macduff was quoted at the scene speaking to himself "Why does everyone think the kids killed their father? They have nothing from it to gain. The only one with something to gain will be out newly pronounced king.... Macbeth!" We are left in suspence! What will happen? Who is the real murderer? Why'd they flee the country? Tune in for next weeks answer edition. Magically.... we'll have all the answers you need.

Dont mean to steal

I don't mean to copy exactly what Hanah said, but I cant think of better actors/actresses than Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie for the characters of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Johnny Depp has the ability to become whichever character he is portraying, he can be dark and mysterious without losing the effect of his morality telling him its all wrong. Angelina Jolie plays strong women, that are not afraid to get their hands dirty. She's sneaky, persuasive and makes sure everything falls into place the way she wants it.

Macbeth's Secret Scandal?

MACBETH'S SECRET SCANDAL?

Macbeth is caught talking to witches about his future and his desire to become king!

Sources say that they saw Macbeth talking to witches about what is to come. They also say that the witches said that Macbeth will become King in the future. So what about King Duncan?
Sources state that Macbeth was just being friendly by letting the witches talk but has no plans to make himself king. He will, however, being willing to become king the duty calls upon him.
So what will happen next? Will Macbeth be granted king after King Duncan? Or will Macbeth take charge and take the king's position? Or do we have a bunch of crazy witches that know nothing?

Only time will tell!

Macbeth A Murderer?...

The scottish police believe Macbeth to be responcible for the murder of King Duncan.
He was found dead in his chamber early this morning.
My sources however, believe the dog is to blame.
Poor innocent Macbeth could never kill anyone his wifes vicious dog however could easily have pulled off this master scheme.
Macbeth is currently residing in the care of the Scottish Mental Hospital after his nervous break down earlier this morning. His wife does not seem to be taking the news too hard.
We will have our interview with Macbeth later this week.

If I were to choose people to play Lady Macbeth and Macbeth, I would choose Tom Hanks and Eva Mendes because Tom Hanks seems like he could be an easily pursuaded character, where Eva seems as though she could have a little edge to her.

THE KING IS DEAD!

(This image is an accident I can't erase..sry:( )

The reigning king was pronounced dead nearly two weeks ago, yet still the kingdom is at a loss for how or why. Says a source close to Duncan, " I can't understand why anyone would hurt the man. He was noble and would never have hurt any of his subjects. "

While his subjects had been previously thought to be loyal, there is now suspiscion cast on the Thanes. The Thanes are thought to have had a conspiracy planned to kill Duncan for what may have been months. Another speculation concerns the well-known Lady Macbeth. There is news going around that she may have been the mastermind behind the killing of King Duncan. "She seemed out of sorts that night," a troubled Macbeth source notes. Still the Lady of the house was said to be serving Duncan just earlier that evening and several sources from the castle reported them rather "chummy." Macbeth is said to be protecting his wife from any suspicion from the authorities of a so-called murder plot. Some believe it is because she is carrying his child although no comment was made when the Macbeth rep was asked about the issue.

Macbeth accused of Murder

The honorable Macbeth is accused of killing King Duncan and his chamberlains in his Scottish Castle earlier this week.

Authorities must investigate further into the story, but have another suspect in mind.

Macbeth has claimed insane and is now in the custody of Scotland's police force.

The King's throne is now up for grabs; the biding will start at 1,000,000 pounds.

Crazed Guards Go Postal, Kill King Among Others.

King Duncan is dead.

On Friday night, the King was found dead in his bedroom. Duncan's guards were accused of the crime.

It was later found out that the guards had gone on an undisputable killing spree. 36 high ranking individuals were found dead in their homes.

"I was furious. I do so much for his ungrateful ***." commented Duncan's first guard.

"..So we just went out and killed them. Anyone who had ever treated us badly. They got what they deserved." said Duncan's second guard.

Speculators have said they believe the guards went postal.

They await a trial scheduled for April 20, 2033.

MacBeth has lost it!!!

MacBeth has Lost it!!!

Your local town Marshal Macbeth has killed again.

Many say this is his first murder some say it's not going to be his last.

He is trying to blame it on someone else but with his accomplis Lady Macbeth

they might have commited the perfect crime. But little do they know that the local Las Vegas

CSI is coming to town to investigate. No little detail will be lost or over looked.

Modern Day?

Well for my modern day Macbeth i would definantly have to choose only the cutest people to play all the major roles. for Macbeth i would choose Johnny Depp. [the pirate one]
and for Lady Macbeth i would choose Angelina Jolee. or how ever you spell her name. :]
Yup my modern day would be the best play ever. I would be the directer of course. That would make it even better. :]
and again i am behind on blogs.
Thanks all

foul is fair...

well i am a little behind on the blogging. so here it goes.
well i don't really like this scene. it is nothing like what i have pictured when i read the play. when i read the play i think of the witches in a dark scary forest with a big black kettle looking thing in front of them. not on the beach with the sea gulls above their head. I'm not sure about the movies that have done it better just because i'm not really interested in witch movies.
thanks all :]

Week 9: "Enquiring minds want to know..."

Your task: In the style of The National Enquirer (check it out here), write a tabloid article describing one of the events from Act I, II, or III of Macbeth. We have read about some pretty sensational acts. Now write about one of them in the same sensational style found in the tabloids. Keep in mind that I'm sure that not everything in The National Enquirer is 100% fact. It is completely acceptable (desired!) to embellish the truth. Just be sure that the initial frame of the story remains the same. If you really want to get crazy, add a picture to your post. I will give extra credit for extra effort here. Have fun with this! Create your post and comment on another post by Wednesday, April 22.

Modern Day Macbeth

In casting a modern day version of Macbeth I would definitely choose Heath Ledger as my Macbeth. He was always one of my favorite actors because of the emotion and passion he puts into every role. He really helped to make the character come alive. And for the role of Lady Macbeth I'm going to mix it up a bit and put Sharon Stone in the role. To me she has played some of the most conniving roles, including her most famous one in Basic Instinct.
Im not really sure who i would pick for Lady Macbeth. But for sure Heath Ledger. I think he does a wonderful job playing as a night and a cowboy! He took his roles seriously and made it to where he really became that charecter! A Knights Tale is one of my favorite movies just because i love watching him act! I guess on Lady Macbeth i would put Audrey Hepburn just because i think she is a wonderful actress! lol

14 April 2009

If I had to pick an actor to play Macbeth, it would have to be Heath Ledger. He took all of his roles seriously and played a variety of roles, from a cowboy, to a knight, to The Joker, so he would probably be able to play Macbeth well. For Lady Macbeth, I would cast Angelina Jolie, as she has played a manipulative woman in several different films.

Casting

I would chose Orlando Bloom and Angelina Jolie. Orlando because he can be a fighter but he can be persuaded by women. Angelina because she can take care of the killing and still look graceful for the people.

Casting Thought

I would have to pick Heath Ledger for Macbeth and Angelina Jolie For Lady Macbeth. i say this because Jolie always plays the bad girl who shows little remorse for anyone. I say ledger because he was a very versitile actor who could play just about any role thrown at him.

13 April 2009

Casting Thoughts

I can see Halle Berry playing a sinister role like Lady Macbeth. She always seemed like she had attitude. Also she's a very talented actress. Tom Cruise, also talented, always had an innocent look. Who ever played Macbeth would at least have to look innocent.

Hmm. Cast?

I would probably choose Leonardo DeCaprio for Macbeth and Kate Winslet for Lady Macbeth. This choice is purely chosen because I absolutely LOVED the Titanic. Plus Kate Winslet is like British, and for some reason I just picture The Macbeth's with an accent...weird I know. But that's my piece!

09 April 2009

Modern Macbeth.

Well, I really think the late Heath Ledger would have made a wonderful Macbeth. Ledger was an amazing actor who took all of his roles very seriously. I think he could've easily taken on the role of Macbeth and do it justice.

For Lady Macbeth I think I'd choose Nicole Kidman. I can easily see her playing such a tough role and I think she'd play it very well.

That's it. :]

Gracias.

lookie

Meril Streep.
Jim Sturgess
For future reference
k

Action!

For Macbeth I would choose Will Smith just becuase I think he can play pretty much any part. He's played in a huge variety of films and always does an awesome job. For Lady Macbeth I think Salma Hayek would be good for this part because she is always the woman who wears the pants in most movies she plays in.

I see...Witches!

So I pictured the witches in a dark gloomy forest with a lot of fog in the background. They would be dressed in raggedy old robes and have long dirty ugly hair. They would probably have big noses and long nails...that's just how I pictured them.

creating plays

Well, i'm not real sure who I would choose to play Macbeth and his lady. I guess if i had to choose, I'd pick Jim Sturgess to be Macbeth because well....I think he's hot, and he'd have to second guess when posed with the threat of having to kill someone dead. I'd pick Meril Streep to play Lady Macbeth. I don't know. She just has that comforting quality of a grandma but also the kick hine part of a cold blooded killer.
yay
