This is a poem I wrote for Andy, my daughter, about the day I had her. Please give me any kind of feed back. I particularly need help with a title and any other emotions or things I could describe.
A Hospital Bed
At the crack of dawn
A child is brought
To Life
Screaming
Tears of Joy
Big shiny pink balloons
And flowers
Cradling you in my arms
For the first time
Little grayish/black eyes
Stare back at me
Our eyes meet
This moment is unforgettable
A wonderful blessing
The day Andy was born was the best day of my life to this day. She brought so much joy and wonderful things to my life, she inspires me so much.
Not only are the pictures ADORABLE! but the poem definitely evokes a lot of emotion too.
ReplyDeleteFor a title you could use a line out of your poem? I do that a lot for my poems. lol
But, it's definitely really good!
You could play around with the "This Moment" idea for your title, too. "A Moment," "The Moment," "A Single Moment".... something like that.
